About Us

Climora Futures is a mission-driven climate finance social enterprise helping early-stage projects across Africa unlock access to the voluntary carbon market. We work at the intersection of climate innovation and financial inclusion — supporting local waste, energy, circular economy, and mobility projects that have real impact potential but lack the technical or financial capacity to get started.

We assess carbon readiness, guide project developers through the early steps of carbon credit generation, and connect promising initiatives with aligned buyers and funders looking for transparent, high-integrity climate action.

Why We Exist

The voluntary carbon market has the potential to be a powerful climate finance mechanism — but right now, it doesn’t work for everyone.

On one end, there are thousands of climate-positive projects across Africa: waste recovery initiatives, clean cooking solutions, regenerative farms, low-emission transport systems. Many of these projects are already delivering measurable environmental and social impact — but they’re locked out of the carbon market.

Why? Because navigating its fragmented rules, costly validation processes, and lengthy timelines requires expertise and resources many grassroots projects simply don’t have access to. Projects are expected to navigate eligibility requirements, methodologies, registries, and audits — often without funding, guidance, or technical capacity. As a result, only the most connected and well-funded projects get access to carbon credit revenue.

On the other end are buyers and funders — companies, philanthropies, and investors that want to support real, measurable climate solutions. But they often encounter poor transparency, vague project claims, and limited access to early-stage opportunities. Even well-intentioned buyers struggle to tell what’s credible or additional — and are left purchasing credits at the end of the process, without knowing if their money made a difference.

Climora Futures exists to fix this disconnect.

We work with promising projects early — before they reach the carbon registries — to evaluate their readiness, guide their next steps, and build a foundation for long-term success. Then, we connect those projects with buyers who want to make a real difference — not just offset emissions, but enable new climate impact from the ground up.

We believe the carbon market should be accessible to the many, not the few — and that buyers should have clearer, more trustworthy ways to fund what matters.

That’s why we exist:
To make carbon markets accessible, transparent, and powerful — for both project developers and funders who want their money to matter.

What Makes us Different

  • We focus on early-stage projects.
Instead of waiting for projects to be fully developed or registered, we work with them from the very beginning — when they are often overlooked by traditional carbon finance players.

  • We lower barriers to entry.
Many projects struggle because they don’t have the money or technical knowledge to navigate the complex carbon credit process. We provide affordable assessments and clear guidance to help them move forward.

  • We prioritize transparency for all stakeholders.
Buyers, funders, and projects get clear, honest information about where each project stands, what risks exist, and what impact is expected. We update progress regularly to build trust.

  • We are mission-driven and reinvest in the ecosystem.
Unlike profit-focused brokers or developers, we operate as a mission-led, social enterprise dedicated to expanding access and reinforcing transparency. Every dollar we earn goes back into supporting more projects and improving our services.

  • We build long-term partnerships.
We don’t just facilitate transactions. We stay involved with projects and buyers through milestones, helping ensure success and accountability over time.

Climora Futures is led by Dylan Wilson, a climate and development strategist focused on making carbon markets accessible for Africa’s most promising, under-recognized sustainability work.

Our Values and Approach

  • Access First
We prioritize projects that are underrepresented in the carbon market — whether due to geography, size, or capacity.

  • Integrity Always
We commit to clear communication, ethical partnerships, and honest representations of what carbon finance can and cannot do.

  • Transparency Throughout
We disclose our role, how projects are selected, and how funding is used — building trust with both developers and buyers.

  • Climate & Co-benefits
We seek projects that offer more than carbon — like social equity, circular economy impact, or local job creation.

  • Long-Term Thinking
We structure support with sustainability in mind, aiming to help projects stand on their own feet within a few years.
